Omar joined Lacourcière LLP as an associate in 2022 following the completion of his articles with the firm, and his subsequent call to the Alberta Bar. Omar’s practice primarily focuses on civil litigation and commercial transactions. During his articling year, Omar gained experience with civil litigation, commercial solicitor work, residential and commercial real estate, and wills and estates. Omar has appeared on behalf of clients in the Alberta Court of Queens bench and the Alberta Provincial Court.
Omar’s primary goal is to assist clients in obtaining practical and cost effective solutions to their legal matters.
Omar earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, before attending a further year at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law to complete their Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway Program. Prior to attending Law School, Omar obtained a double major in the fields of Political Science and Law & Society from the University of Calgary. In his free time, Omar likes to play basketball and soccer, spend time with his family friends, and enjoying his photography hobby.
